Abstract

INTRODUCTION: The role of research informed consent (RIC) with humans is essential in the research’s regulation and ethical conduct. It is a document recommended by law, international and national regulations. There are many challenges, controversies and problems related to informed consent. METHODS: Informed Consent of analysis submitted to the Ethics Committee in Research of the Associação das Pioneiras Sociais (APS) in 2013. RESULTS: 65 RIC research projects were analyzed, 27% were failures in RIC related to confidentiality , refusal and lack of access to results; no relats to the adverse effects, the ability to withdraw consent at any time; 14 protocols requested waiver of informed consent; CONCLUSION: The RIC is a document required for conducting research. Presented failures in 27% of the terms presented to the CEP / APS in accordance with Brazilian regulation.
