Abstract

Objective: To analyze the temporal trend of notification and mortality rates due to violence against women aged 25 to 59 years residing in the Federal District, from 2009 to 2024. Methods: Ecological time-series study with data from the Notifiable Diseases Information System and the Mortality Information System (1). The trend was analyzed using Prais–Winsten regression, estimating the annual percentage change (APC) and 95% confidence intervals (2). Results: A significant increasing trend was observed in the rates of physical, psychological, and sexual violence, and suicide attempts. Suicide mortality showed a moderate increasing trend, while homicide mortality showed a significant decreasing trend. Conclusion: The findings show an increase in non-lethal violence and a reduction in lethal violence, reinforcing the importance of epidemiological surveillance.
