Abstract

Objective: to map evidence available in literature on the relationship between oral health-related quality of life and periodontal condition in type 2 diabetes individuals. Methodology: bibliographical research will be carried out using search strategies in three databases (BVS, SciELO and PubMed). Articles with a quantitative approach, published between 2013-2023, in Portuguese or English will be selected. The review will follow the JBI Scoping Review protocol, which recommends five steps for its development, and its report will adopt the PRISMA Scoping Review extension standards. After exporting the references to Zotero®, two reviewers will assess eligibility of studies through titles, abstracts and full texts. Disagreements will be resolved by a third reviewer. The information will be extracted by two independent reviewers in a specific table. Conclusion: it is expected to identify the current state of scientific production related to the topic in question, by summarizing the evidence in this field of research.
