About the Journal

Communication in Health Sciences (CCS) is a scientific journal affiliated with the School of Public Health of the Federal District (ESP-DF), Brazil, published on a quarterly basis. The journal is dedicated to the dissemination of scientific knowledge and experiences relevant to the health field, serving as a platform for the publication of studies, analyses, and reflections that contribute to the advancement of research, health management, healthcare practice, and health education.

Founded in 1990 under the title Revista de Saúde do Distrito Federal, the journal adopted the name Communication in Health Sciences in 2006, reflecting the expansion of its editorial scope and its commitment to promoting the circulation of scientific knowledge relevant to both the health system and the academic community.

CCS is organized into three thematic sections. The first focuses on the Clinical and Healthcare Area, emphasizing healthcare delivery across different levels of care, including both general and specialized services. The second section addresses Public Health, encompassing studies in epidemiology, health policy, health economics, planning, management, and social sciences applied to health. The third section is dedicated to Health Education, featuring works that address educational processes and pedagogical strategies, with particular emphasis on active learning methodologies in health education.

The Journal Comunicação em Ciências da Saúde was created in 1990 under the name of Revista de Saúde do Distrito Federal and from 2006 was changed to the current denomination. It is a magazine of the Escola Superior de Ciências da Saúde (ESCS) and has regularity quarterly. Its distribution is free for academic institutions throughout Brazil and for the network of the Sistema Único de Saúde do Distrito Federal (DF).

É uma revista da Escola Superior de Ciências da Saúde (ESCS) e tem regularidade trimestral. Sua distribuição é gratuita para as instituições acadêmicas de todo o Brasil e para a rede do Sistema Único de Saúde do Distrito Federal (DF).

La Revista Comunicação em Ciências da Saúde fue creada en 1990 con el nombre de Revista de Saúde do Distrito Federal y de 2006,hasta hoy pasó a la denominación actual. Es una revista de la Escola Superior de Ciências de Saúde (ESCS) y tiene regularidad trimestral. Su distribución es gratuita para las instituciones académicas de todo Brasil y para la red del Sistema Único de Saúde do Distrito Federal (DF).
